Native American Fiction

Native Spirituality suited Win. He was pierced during a Lakota ceremony and was a pipe carrier. He went on twelve vision quests and felt the pull of the red road. His books, particularly RavenShadow and Stone Song, are written with gratitude for those experiences.

People creating authentic, Amercan lives, in all their beauty and chaos, was a theme Win loved. These are seen in his books The Rock Child, Charbonneau, and The Misadventures of Silk and Shakespeare. Truly, every day is an adventure.

“Packed with drama, adventure, humor, the lore of American Indians and Tibetan Buddhists, plus unforgettable historical characters, The Rock Child is a dazzling tour de force and a deeply moving story. A wild mythic novel of the American West. The climax would satisfy the Buddha himself!“— Library Journal
